The title's a little misleading, as the diminutive fruitcake appears to have had very little charisma, which is extraordinary given that he convinced a nation that they were “a superior race”.
With so many Hitler documentaries out there, Laurence Rees's three-parter really needed to be something out of the ordinary, but, apart from some arresting archive footage, the content and commentary are a tad simplistic and the historian fails to unearth anything new.
