John Michael McDonagh's comedy-thriller stars Brendan Gleeson as a dissolute Irish copper who breaks more laws than he enforces, and Don Cheadle as a slick American agent who's forced to work with him.
It was a big hit, commercially and critically, in the cinema but it's really a rambling, one-joke lark which is nowhere near the standard of the crime comedy Gleeson made with McDonagh's brother, In Bruges.
