In a year or two, we're bound to get a longer "Director's Cut" of Tomas Alfredson's atmospheric spy drama, but the current version feels horribly rushed, particularly to begin with, when its scenes have been snipped into tiny pieces, and then taped together with copious voice-over.
It's awash with terrific British actors, of course, including the Oscar-nominated Gary Oldman. If only we'd got to see a bit more of them.
