A freak storm capsizes six friends on a yachting trip, they take refuge on a cruise liner that sails mysteriously out of the gloom.

The ship seems to be deserted, but Jess, who is desperate to get back to her autistic son, starts getting dark flashbacks. Suddenly the others start dying and she has to work out who is trying to kill her. UK director Christopher Smith's film is more intriguing and ambitious than his earlier works, which include Severance and Creep. While set off the coast of Florida, Triangle is indebted to Australia and its finest soaps. Deck hand Victor (Liam Hemsworth) cut his teeth on Neighbours, while Henry Nixon, Rachael Carpani, and the film's star Melissa George all appeared in Home & Away yet the acting and plotting are pretty solid. Worth a look.
