DVD: Twice Round the Daffodils (PG)

This cloying 1962 comedy is reminiscent of the dire 1980s sitcom Only When I Laugh, but without James Bolam's comic timing.

The action, such as it is, centres on four male patients who arrive at a sanatorium to be treated for TB. In true Carry On Nurse-style, the ailing men each take a shine to one of the angelic nurses. Kenneth Williams and Donald Sinden star in this flimsy, out-dated froth.
