Before the Twilight series engulfed her, Kristen Stewart was shaping up to be an interesting actress and she's convincing here as Mallory, a 16-year-old New Orleans prostitute in Jake Scott's low-key drama.

Doug (James Gandolfini) and Lois (Melissa Leo) are consumed with grief over the death of their 15-year-old daughter. Doug seeks refuge in a mistress, before, that is, she dies of a heart attack; Lois is agoraphobic and pops numerous pills. While attending a conference in New Orleans, Doug encounters damaged Mallory and tries to "save her". Welcome to the Rileys has the feel of a superior TV movie and the three central performances are strong.
