DVD: Woman in a Dressing Gown
Rarely seen since its release in 1957, this domestic drama tells the story of a middle-aged office drone (Anthony Quayle) who's plucking up the courage to leave his scatterbrained wife (Yvonne Mitchell) and move in with his ambitious young secretary, Sylvia Syms.
The sensitive screenplay gives a sympathetic hearing to the people at all three corners of its love triangle, which makes it impossible to predict how it's going to end.
