The world may not be particularly "stardust" or "golden" any more, but Michael Wadleigh's seminal take on the defining moment of the 1960s still delivers more than merely nostalgia.

The split-screen cinematography makes you feel as if you're there and this special edition adds unseen performances and interviews with key members of the crew – not least Martin Scorsese, who edited. But, today as then, it's the colourful crowd who steal the show.
