Film review: Fire with Fire (15)

This lame-brain action thriller went straight to DVD in the US, so why it has scored a cinema release over here is a mystery. Do they think we like Bruce Willis that much?

Bruce, playing a cop, is actually second fiddle to Josh Duhamel, a hunky fireman who gets into a blood-boltered vendetta with Vincent D'Onofrio's racist mobster.

This involves him torturing, maiming and indeed murdering his foes – more psycho than hero. Avoid it, even on DVD.
