The single selling-point of this violent and boring slasher flick is that it's filmed entirely from the killer's POV – though it muffs even that gimmick at times.
Elijah Wood plays a murderer in the Bates mold, a mother-obsessive who stalks and scalps his victims for their hair, with which he adorns the heads of his shop mannequins.
Of suspense there is none. Franck Khalfoun's film is allegedly based on a cult thriller of 1980, though heaven knows who'd want to repeat any of this.
Wood is possibly desperate to reposition himself as a serious actor, but his face still screams Hobbit.
