In Juliet McKoen's debut feature, Shirley Henderson plays a woman haunted by the unsolved disappearance of her sister two years earlier. Writer-director McKoen was prompted by the true story of "The Lady in the Lake" - a woman's corpse, found 20 years after she vanished, launched a murder inquiry - and finds a complementary setting in the chilly gloom of Morecambe Bay, itself hard by the beach where 23 Chinese cocklers lost their lives.

Atmospheric images of drowning and the otherwordly frisson of Don't Look Now intersect with a flurry of red herrings that don't quite coalesce into a gripping story.
