Adam Sandler adds here to his lengthening charge sheet as the most repellent "entertainer" on the planet. He plays a Brooklyn fireman and lothario (yeah, right) who helps his widowed friend (Kevin James) out of a financial pickle by getting hitched in a civil ceremony.
The only aspect of interest is to watch how the film's mask of tolerance keeps slipping to reveal the screaming homophobia beneath; the only aspect of wonder is that Alexander Payne (Sideways) didn't want his name kept off the screenwriting credits.
