This Candide-like parable of an innocent abroad derives much of its appeal from Siyabonga Melongisi Shibe as James, a devout Christian who leaves Nigeria on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Jailed by immigration at Tel Aviv, he's hired as slave labour by a businessman and learns the wiles of a materialist society; the ex-ploited turns exploiter. Alex-androwicz keeps it simple, and springs a cruel twist.
