Is Will Ferrell turning into the new Steve Martin? The signs aren't good. He stars as a decent family man who takes to coaching a hopeless Little League soccer team to get one over on his highly competitive dad (Robert Duvall), star coach of their rivals. It's Parenthood meets The Bad News Bears, minus the charm and the few good gags. Ferrell does his best, but he's wasting his time: the Americans don't get "soccer", and it's painful watching them try.
