If there's one thing worse than a woman scorned, suggests Ivan Reitman, it's a superheroine scorned. Forget mad Glenn Close boiling the bunny in Fatal Attraction; Jenny Johnson, aka G-Girl (Uma Thurman) will fry your goldfish with her laser vision, and throw a Great White through the bedroom window.
That's the amusing, though sexist premise of a so-so comedy, by a man who hasn't excelled since Ghostbusters. While Thurman is fine as the stalking superwoman, there's next to no chemistry, in or out of love, with co-star Luke Wilson.
