This Indian take on Othello features modern dress but no reinterpretation of Shakespeare's tale of duplicity and sexual jealousy. Vishal Bhardwaj gets good performances from his cast, but Ajay Devgan, as the big O, looks more like a model than a soldier. Musical numbers add charm, and occasionally, the Bard's wit is nicely duplicated: "My grandma said the way to a man's heart is through his belly." "Oh? Mine always told me to aim a bit lower."
