Stomp The Yard features no white faces whatsoever. Its hero is DJ (Columbus Short), the new kid at an all-black Georgia university, whose hip hop dancing skills are coveted by two rival fraternities. The girl he loves is the dean's daughter, and her boyfriend is a patrician snob, which makes the film a trashy black campus drama with all the clichés of a trashy white campus drama, except that everyone in it sure can dance. I'm not sure if that's progress or not.
