Its Shakespearean title is the most sophisticated touch in this would-be heartwarmer about two Liverpudlian lads facing up to love and death.

Fifteen-year-old Robbie (Josh Bolt), diagnosed with a terminal heart condition, doesn't want to die a virgin so he asks his best mate Ziggy (Eugene Byrne) to set him up with a lady who might oblige him. The writers Steve Lewis and Tony Owen may have caught the accent of prurient young scousers, but that doesn't make it charming, and knockabout scenes with 60-quid hookers on the Dock Road doesn't make it a comedy either. On the plus side, Bolt and Byrne are vivid presences as the adolescent duo.
