Mortality and mawkishness fight it out in a pilgrimage movie that plays like a younger, middle-class version of Last Orders.
Benedict Cumberbatch, doomed with cancer, hits the road with meds and mates (J J Feild, Tom Burke, Adam Robertson) on a farewell trip to his favourite spot in West Wales. Carlos Catalan's wonderfully liquid photography pays the Pembrokeshire coastline its righteous due, but the blokey banter and the airing of alleged "issues" just get on your nerves. The judgment of tone is off, and the illusion that these four are best friends never remotely convinces.
