After seeing the film, Tyson called his story "a Greek tragedy", and the comparison between his glory years and the subsequent nosedive of both his personal and professional life means you have to agree. Yet the film often feels overly sympathetic and although Tyson talks a lot about his attitude to women and sex, he is never challenged when defending himself against his rape conviction. Tyson: the Movie is undoubtedly touching in parts, but you end up wishing Toback had interrogated him further.
