Gary Sinyor’s Spinal Tap-ish spoof 'We are United'
Gary Sinyor’s Spinal Tap-ish spoof 'We are United'

Gary Sinyor's new comedy is a Spinal Tap-ish spoof in which the characters aren't ageing rock stars but five teammates who played for "United" in what should have been their greatest season – but unravelled in disastrous fashion.

Sinyor's inspiration came from the recent football documentary The Class of 92. His characters talk to camera about where it all went wrong.

The film feels like a TV sketch stretched to feature length and some of the gags are crass in the extreme but it is intermittently funny and perceptive on top-level modern footballers and celebrity culture.
