'Same Kind of Different' for Samuel L. Jackson

Samuel L. Jackson has signed to star in a movie adaptation of the best-selling non-fiction novel "Same Kind of Different As Me," it was reported Wednesday.

Jackson, 60, will play an ex-convict drifter who befriends a wealthy Texas art dealer, Daily Variety reported.

The film will be based on the 2006 book of the same name written by Denver Moore, Ron Hall and Lynn Vincent.

Jackson, star of "Pulp Fiction" and the "Star Wars" prequels, is currently working on comedy "The Other Guys" with Mark Wahlberg and Eva Mendes.
