Academy Award-winner Frances McDormand ( Fargo, Burn After Reading) will join Oscarwinner Sean Penn ( Milk, Mystic River) in This Must Be the Place.

This marks Penn's return to acting after a brief break. He plays a retired rock star who searches for a former Nazi who killed his father. Italian director Paulo Sorrentino ( Il Divo) make his English-language feature film debut with the project, which he co-wrote.

Penn next stars opposite Naomi Watts in Doug Liman's Fair Game in the competition selection at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival and may be seen this December with Brad Pitt in Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life. And McDormand will appear in Transformers 3.
