Sci-fi gladiators race light cycles and engage in disc combat in the world of Tron, as depicted in the trailer for Tron: Evolution, the videogame due in November.
Shown at the E3 convention, the neon-lit futuristic environment of this high-tech adventure reveals elements of the ‘Tron' mythology that links the 1982 Tron film and Tron Legacy in 3D hitting screens December 17. The footage also captures the stylish design of the upcoming film.
Tron Legacy follows-up where Jeff Bridges disappeared in the original film. The Oscar winning actor returns in the sequel with his son searching for him in the virtual world of dangerous battles. It also stars Michael Sheen, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and Bruce Boxleitner who reprises his role.
The videogame will be released in November on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP and PC, with a multiplayer version, Tron: Evolution Battle Grids for Wii.
