What with gardening being the new DIY, and Charlie Dimmock bringing us down to earth, there's bound to be an unprecedented level of interest in this year's Chelsea Flower Show. Art, fashion and food are among the themes at the annual horticultural extravaganza. Highlights include Terence Conran's design for a "Chef's Roof Garden"; a garden featuring sculpted rabbits based on Beatrix Potter illustrations; and a `Horti-couture' garden inspired by the idea that horticulture can evoke colour and materials in the same way as high fashion. And of course, there will be unrivalled displays as exhibitors vye for the coveted RHS gold medal.

Grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London SW3 (0171-344 4343) members only, Tue and Wed; public days, Thurs and Fri
