Sir: Deborah Orr's commentary on the bringing to justice of Jonathan Aitken (9 June) accurately hit at the moral vacuum which lies at the core of the English class system: the notion that the law applies only to those genetically inferior by virtue of their bank account. Bravo! But it would have been more fun if we had dragged him into the street and let him take his chances.
