Sir: The case for BBC World as a bastion of quality journalism (letters, 24, 25, 28 June) is not helped by its appalling production. Lost film footage, incorrect captions and spelling mistakes are rife. In this part of the world, BBC World also suffers from excessively India- focused programming. Many people in the Middle East do not want fashion, motoring, finance and political programmes that concentrate on India.
