Sir: Your paper refers to a demand for a return to Labour values ("Forty-four MPs warn Blair", 30 June). The photograph of queues at the Passport Office and the story of the 500,000-item backlog suggest that we already have them. To be fair, it is perhaps more reminiscent of the current state of Russia.
