Sir: You report the possible transmission of BSE to sheep. The attitude of the Spongiform Encephalopathy Advisory Committee seems to be that no drastic measures are necessary at present.
Presumably the members of the committee understand the risks better than anybody, so perhaps we should be asking them what they feed their own families. I wonder if any British meat is on the menu for their children.
