Letter: Challenging role

Sir: How interesting to learn that Channel 4 is putting its money where its mouth is - or is it the other way about? - with the operatic airing of fellatio in Powder Her Face ("Channel 4 screens sex opera on Christmas Day", 4 December).

Will the heroine, Margaret, Duchess of Argyll, be simultaneously singing an aria and performing oral sex whilst also elevating the channel's viewing figures? There is obviously a ventriloquist lurking somewhere.

But seriously, this performance will obviously be viewed by young and impressionable early teens, so it is to be hoped that the duchess's lover will set an example by taking pre-aria precautions.
