Sir: A comment on the perception of fatherhood in the late 1990s ("Golden era of marriage a myth", 16 June). A househusband with four small children, I overheard a conversation between my wife and five-year-old son. Whilst visiting her parents my wife said to my son: "When we get there Grandma will have cooked us a lovely lunch." My son looked at her with incredulity and said: "Mum, Grandad will have cooked the lunch, the man does the cooking."
