Sir: I was appalled to read that the ITC has fined the Christian Channel pounds 20,000 for suggesting that social problems are caused by a lack of Christian standards (report, 23 December). It seems that whilst pumping out an endless diet of sex, violence and trash is entirely acceptable, trying to make a moral stand against society's decline is not. What does this incident say about the true meaning of "free speech" in this country?
