Sir: How interesting to learn from Hamish McRae ("The City shows the way to an off-shore future, 16 December) that the human capital which makes the City successful depends on the key infrastructure of telecommunications and not the old one of trains, buses and cars.
Presumably it no longer has to go to and from those old-fashioned places called offices.
