Letter: Crowded pavements
Sir: One of the main strands in the Transport White Paper was to reallocate road space away from the car and in favour of buses, bikes and pedestrians. Readers who have a problem with cyclists on pavements should be asking their councils what they are doing to improve conditions on the road. This is much more constructive than complaining about riders trying to survive in one of the most hostile environments in Western Europe.
