Sir: I am reading your letters page as I sit on the Norwich to London train, having paid pounds 18 for a return ticket on the 8.30am, coming back at 7.30pm in the evening. This ticket entitles me to travel within Zone One in London on buses and the Underground.

The two people opposite me have taken advantage of a two-for-one offer currently running with Anglia Railways. Maybe Peter Lasko (letter, 26 November) should phone Anglia Railways to discuss his travel plans. I have found that they are always helpful and will offer the cheapest fare available. A period return is pounds 23 if one books in advance.
