Sir: You rightly complain about Birmingham Midshires borrowers being treated no better than carpetbaggers. As a loyal saver with a Tessa and a variety of bonds from mid-1996 (long before any talk of a takeover), I am not too happy about my treatment under the reported terms. The helpline simply tells me to wait to be told the details. It will not get my vote.
