Sir: Presumably David Bowie will set an example to governments worldwide ("Write off Third World debt, stars tell Blair", 11 February) by donating the millions he raised from Wall Street through the issue of his music bond. And of course, if the music industry were to drop the cost of CDs in the UK to more acceptable levels, we could all donate a little bit more to the Third World from our own pockets.
