Letter: In Brief

Sir: The habit of stating something three times, seen by Matt Cavanagh (letter, 13 January) as a sign of Tony Blair's "sinister religiosity", is simply evidence that the speaker has attended a course on public speaking. Students are advised that in order to make a point stick, it should be repeated three times, each time in a different way.
