Sir: Sue Arnold's article (Comment, 13 March) was extremely offensive to Gypsies. There is a clear implication that the word "Gypsy" implies some kind of criminal behaviour. I cannot imagine that she would use similar language to describe any other ethnic minority. The fact that your paper can promote this kind of racism shows how far the attempts to challenge prejudice against Gypsies and Travellers still have to go.
