Sir: J. Phillips (letter, 25 March) is right to insist that, to prove the safety of mobile phones beyond all reasonable doubt, "the onus should be on manufacturers".
But how are they to do that to the satisfaction of motorists who will, as daily observation continues to show, recklessly endanger their own as well as other people's safety by using their handsets while driving?
