Sir: As Fergal Keane points out in his article about violent children (Comment, 1 May), they are not born violent. However, they are constantly bombarded by images of violence and maybe the parents of the child that attacked Fergal's son take The Independent on Sunday and he is subjected to a front-page picture of a headless corpse with his breakfast cornflakes (2 May). Those of us who work with children are becoming increasingly concerned about the violence they are exposed to: computer games, TV, videos - and their parents' daily paper.
