Sir: Andrew Brown makes the claim that we can tell the difference between religion and credulous superstition as the Pope could give reasons for everything he believes (Faith and Reason, 5 June). What reason does the Pope have for believing, say, that Jesus walked on water, other than he believes it because it is in the Bible, a book which also has a talking donkey and a talking snake in it?
