Sir: May I assure Pandora (8 June) that in 42 years as a priest, I have never made use of the expression "Bless", nor can I recollect any other priest doing so. It ranks with "Enjoy" as an example of that verbal indolence and shallow bonhomie which is associated with "excitable girlie Radio 1 DJs". If any of them told me to "Resent" I would probably comply.
