Sir: You refer to Myrtos Bay, Cephalonia, as a "long crescent of sand" ("Complete guide to the Greek Islands", 26 June). No, it's not. From a distance it may appear to be sandy but in fact the beach is composed of pebbles. I would hate people to walk the long distance down to it for a sandcastle-building competition.
