Sir: P M Larg (letter, 7 July) is so very wrong. A British Memorial Day for the Holocaust should bring to mind this nation's part in the persecution and lack of love and charity towards the Jews over many centuries. Our attitude and inaction enabled and encouraged the Nazis. As a Christian I would welcome a national witness to a shared guilt.
