Letter: In Brief
Sir: You report that British Air traffic controllers "cannot cope" with the increasing number of planes in the skies (report, 19 July). Such pressure would only be intensified if National Air Traffic Services (Nats) is privatised. Any such move would create an unacceptable tension between safety and profits. The Government should listen to its own back-benchers and ditch its privatisation plans.
