Sir: Your article "New drug lifeline for Parkinson's victims" (27 July) has caused confusion to people with Parkinson's. The drug, ropinirole (Requip) is not a new drug as reported, but has been available in the UK for the past two and a half years. The results of the study are new, but not the drug itself.
