Sir: Ben Davies (letter, 6 August) complains about junk mail by fax. I have spent the best part of four years fighting junk mail by both fax and post. With the former, I immediately return the front sheet of the faxed letter with an instruction to remove my name from the mailing list. With post, I return the envelope and again instruct the sender to remove my name. If I am lucky enough to receive a pre-paid envelope, I use that to delivery my premptory message.
