Letter: In Brief
Sir: Your editorial "At last, Labour's rivals make politics more interesting" (16 August) suggests that the next election "could be a contest between Mr Brown's tax cuts or Mr Hague's". Is it too much to hope that the election might be about responsible funding of efficient public services, and not about attempts to bribe voters with their own money?
