Sir: It seems ironic that on Wednesday you reported on the front page the Prime Minister's "Draconian" proposal to allow people to be convicted on the testimony of a senior police office's belief if they fail to answer any relevant question during interrogation; on the next page you reported the suspension of a detective chief inspector as part of the corruption inquiry into the Metropolitan Police.
